Advanced Surgical Arts offers stem cell treatments for patients in need of a regenerative therapy with little risk of adverse reaction. Stem cell treatments can be used to address many joint disorders and conditions like arthritis and degenerative disk disease. The stem cells used in our treatments are derived from the patient’s own bone marrow or fat tissue, so the risk of adverse reaction is even further reduced.

What are stem cells?
Stem cells are cells that contain regenerative properties and can transform into a variety of specialized cell types depending on where they are located in the body. Stem cell treatments work by injecting stem cells harvested from the patient’s own body into the designated treatments area where the stem cells are then attracted to the inflammatory signals coming from damaged tissues. The stem cells will then work to repair and regenerate the damaged tissue and improve the treated condition at a cellular level. At Advanced Surgical Arts, we use stem cells harvested from the bone marrow and adipose tissue for our stem cell treatments.
Combination therapy with Stem Cells and PRP therapy
When using adipose stem cells, we often combine them with platelet rich plasma (PRP) to accelerate the healing process and enhance the results of your treatment. The growth factors found in PRP encourage cells to regenerate faster and attracts more stem cells to the treated area. PRP also stimulates circulation in the treated area and provides additional nutrients for the stem cells.
What can stem cells be used to treat?
Stem cell treatment can be used for both regenerative and aesthetic medicine. At Advanced Surgical Arts, we use stem cells for regenerative purposes and can treat a wide range of conditions.
Some conditions that we treat with stem cell therapy include:
- Alopecia Areata
- Degenerative Spine and Disk Disease
- Crohn’s Disease
- Joint disorders and concerns
When will I see results?
Stem cell treatments improve conditions at a cellular level so the results develop gradually as the stem cells encourage cell regeneration and development. Most patients will begin to experience noticeable results approximately two months after their stem cell treatment. Results may vary from patient to patient depending on the condition being treated.
