Sleep plays an important role in our health, appearance, and general well being. Unfortunately, many people do not experience quality sleep due to snoring or the effects of sleep apnea. Advanced Surgical Arts offers SnoreX, a non-surgical, laser-based treatment, to help patients reduce the duration and intensity of their snoring and lessen the effects of mild sleep apnea.

What is SnoreX?
SnoreX is a non-surgical, non-invasive laser treatment that uses the Fotona NightLase® system to shrink the parapharyngeal tissue, which can reduce snoring and the effects of sleep apnea. Our SnoreX treatments feature an Er: YAG laser that heats and tightens the oral mucosa tissue and safely opens up your airway. By tightening this tissue and enlarging the airway, SnoreX is able to effectively reduce the effects of sleep apnea and lessen the intensity and duration of snoring. Our SnoreX treatments typically last for 30 minutes and can reduce the frequency of your snoring by up to 70 percent. Results of this laser snoring therapy can last for up to one to two years.
Benefits of SnoreX
- No downtime
- Quick treatment sessions
- Reduces or eliminates the intensity and duration of snoring
- Improves the effects of mild sleep apnea
How many treatments will I need?
We typically recommend a series of three SnoreX treatments spaced about three weeks apart in order to achieve optimal results. The number of treatments you may need to experience a noticeable improvement in snoring and the effects of sleep apnea can vary from patient to patient.
When will I see results?
You may see a decrease in the duration and intensity of snoring after your first treatment session. The results of SnoreX will continue to improve with multiple treatment sessions. Results may vary.
What is the recovery period?
This non-invasive, non-surgical treatment has no downtime or recovery period associated with it. Most of our patients immediately return to their normal routines after a treatment session.
What are the potential side effects?
The most common side effect associated with SnoreX treatments is a mild sore throat. This temporary side effect typically develops immediately following a treatment session and usually subsides within a week of a treatment session.
