What to Expect
The IPL emits intense pulses of light that penetrate the skin and are absorbed by damaged pigmented tissue breaking it down so that your body can eliminate it. Most treatments are as short as 30-minutes and require little to no recovery time. After a treatment for sun damage and brown spots, you will notice a darkening of the spots. After a few days you will see a reduction in the pigment and some spots will slough off leaving new fresh clear skin in its place. It will take multiple IPL Photofacial treatments to achieve maximum results.

How Many Treatments Do I Need
The number of treatments required to achieve optimal results will depend on the severity of damage and type of condition being treated (vascular vs. brown spots vs acne).
Some conditions, such as vascular, results can be achieved in a single session. For other conditions such as brown spots and sun damage, optimal results typically require 3-5 sessions scheduled 4 weeks apart. Then to maintain results, we recommend a treatment every 6-12 months.
