Chronic Pain

There are many reasons why you may be suffering from chronic pain. Even though joint and bone problems can cause pain, soft-tissue problems tends to be a major contributing factor to chronic pain. Some of the most common soft tissue pain areas include; the lower back, soft-tissues around joints, ligaments, and tendons.

Advanced SonoKinesthesia Procedure

Dr. Lee developed an advanced treatment technique called SonoKinesthesia® to locate and treat injuries. SonoKinesthesia® is a minimally invasive surgical technique that treats acute to chronic soft-tissue pain. It involves ultrasound diagnosis of the injured area, followed by ultrasound guided injections with pain medications, along with performing minimally invasive micro-surgical debridement of the abnormal tissue. This procedure is performed with a local anesthetic for comfort during the procedure.

Ultrasound Guided vs Blind InjectionsChronic Pain Guided Ultrasound Injections, Regenerative Medicine

Most physicians have very limited techniques to locate and treat the soft tissue abnormalities that are causing chronic pain. Dr. Lee uses guided ultrasound to precisely locate and inject injured tissues. Practitioners that perform joint and soft tissue injections blind(without ultrasound guidance), run a higher risk for unsatisfactory outcomes.

USA Olympic Games and NASA

Dr. Lee has 30+ years experience practicing medicine utilizing ultrasound for pain and injury. He is internationally known for teaching advanced medical procedures to young physicians and medical professionals. In 1996, He served as the first USA physician to introduce musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound to the Olympic Games. He also worked with NASA as part of the research team to teach Astronauts who were on board the International Space Station. Dr Lee originated the concept of Sonoscopic surgery, where ultrasound becomes a tool to visualize, guide, direct and monitor needles along with surgical instruments for soft tissue surgery and joint procedures.
