What is IntimaLase™?
The Fotona IntimaLase™ system uses erbium laser technology to stimulate the production of collagen and circulation within the vaginal tissues, which strengthens the tissues and causes them to tighten. This non-surgical vaginal tightening treatment can reduce vaginal dryness, improve vaginal laxity, and improve sexual pleasure and function. IntimaLase™ can also be used to treat and improve mild urinary stress incontinence by tightening the vaginal tissues and muscles. This laser-based vaginal tightening treatment provides our patients with an effective, quick treatment that can be completed in 15 to 30 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?
Many patients experience optimal vaginal tightening results with a single IntimaLase™ treatment. During your initial consultation, we will determine the appropriate number of treatments required to help you achieve your desired results.
When will I experience results?
You may begin to notice an improvement in the treated area about two weeks after an IntimaLase™ treatment. The final results of this vaginal tightening treatment usually develop about four months after a procedure. Multiple treatments may be required in order to achieve your desired results. Results may vary.
Are there any side effects?
You may experience some temporary side effects, including mild redness, swelling, and transparent discharge after an IntimaLase™ treatment. These side effects typically resolve on their own and should subside within two to three days of the procedure.
Is there any downtime?
Most patients are able to return to their normal activities immediately after an IntimaLase™treatment. We recommend patients avoid prolonged periods of exercise and sexual intercourse for at least two weeks following the procedure. Activities that put increased pressure on the bladder and treatment area should be avoided for at least one month after a treatment session.
